struggling with boost controller

Unfortunately, a boost controller can't control a boost creep like that. The reason your car is creeping is because your wastegate is too small. No matter what you do to the signal, the wastegate cannot open further.

If you want a cheap fix, you may be able to port the wastegate opening a little bit with a grinder.

BTW, how do you like the spec II? I just installed one in my car this evening, and personally, I think it's a great EBC.

I'm loving the boost controller, its really not that hard to use, its just learning to understand it that was tricky, but i think i got it. Anyways, I guess I will go out tonight and buy a carbide burr to port the wastegate.

I would recommend that you try and "tune out" the FCO (code 34) By turning the set screw in your AFM. If you remove the soft aluminum plug in the side, and turn the screw CCW a little at a time, just until you can let the tranny shift without hitting fuel cut.
