Yeah, but isn't it alot less stress on the rods and crank if you don't have so much of a stroke? I don't hear much of 1j and 2j guys having rod knock problems. I'm just looking for a reliable combo. I'm not looking to spin it to the moon, but if can do it reliably and make power up there..... why not?


EDIT: Maybe I'm getting into rod ratio and angularity. Two things I know little about. What's the rule of thumb, lower rod ratio (increased rod angle) accelerates wear to cylinder walls, pistons, and piston rings?

Do 7m's already have a rod ratio or angularity we should be worried about? If you increase it then your motor will eat itself up a little quicker.
