Ok so all of a sudden im driving and my lights dim, battery light flashes real quick, and my head lights blink. My head lights blinked about 4-5 more times while driving back to my house. I have hids retrofitted from a 06 tsx. my turbo timer is reading around 12-13v's. So i get home and i get my volt meter and its showing 14v while the turbo timer still says 12-13v. It was night so i shut it off and was about to go inside except when i lock my car all my lights blink pause blink pause for about 2min. huh.

This was yesterday, so today i didnt go out to my car till around 4 i get in and everything is fine and my turbo timer is showing 14v. About a hour ago i get in my car to go cruise around and it does it again and it dropped to about 11.5v on my TT maybe less and my car dies. Test the alt again and its 14v. I checked for codes i have a 41 and 51 which are both for TPS which im going to the junkyards to find one tomorrow.

so my question is would a bad TPS eat up that much voltage after the alternator?

thanks kyle.

my 02 sensor wires melted on the turbo a little bit after i changed my spark plugs. so today im going to look at that. and ill drive later today and see if that's what it was. i saw a little smoke and caught it but when i was driving around last night it dimmed lights again but it was after a long drive. ill get back later.

ok so my 02 sensor wiring is ok. its my alarm. the horn ground came loose but when i ground it the alarm just goes off and i got it too stop but then when i try to start it cuts power. its a really old pursuit alarm. its never worked since ive owned the car. i would like to remove it.

what do you guys think the best way to remove it is? if i take power and ground from it i get no power to the car. so it must be getting power from some where else. should i just cut all the wires going to its ecu?

any thoughts?

ok i removed the alarm completely and grounded the blue wire with the orange stripe for the stock alarm. now when i turn the key to the on position i get no power. i get like 2 volts to the efi fuse and zero to any of the ones on the drivers kick panel. with the key off i get power to everything.

im lost any help please.
