They unlocked the door and started the car up normally, guess they used a shaved down key because both supras have 250k+ miles, so the locks arent exactly brand new...

There was no broken glass or any signs of struggle to get in on the windows..

Hope my girl's car's fairing well at the moment, not sure how they got that one.:(

Yeah, I installed a kill switch IMMEDIATELY after I parked it, we also installed one on my girl's Corolla..

The black one is getting it's done in a few days but I've removed vital parts to keep it from moving in the mean time..

See that's why I always detach the faceplate when I park somewhere that I feel is shady. Plus my seats are torn to hell lol.

Razo, glad you got your Supra back, I hope you find your gf's soon.

Funny how that works, isn't it.

If I were forced to live in any of those places I'd have a garage with steel bars and alarms before I worried about anything more than a bed...

Glad to hear you got the white one back! Hope the NA one turns up soon too! It's unfortunate when things like this happen. :3d_frown:

So yea, were the thieves who were found in possession of the white car arrested? If so, they have probably alerted the rest of the gang to take it elsewhere, and keep it out of site. Anyway have y'all now learned the 1 mile rule. You have to turn that shit down long before you get close to the house. No need to advertise. How far away from your place did you find the car?

They stole the first one as easy pickin's, came back for the second because they knew how to steal it? Otherwise you've got some crazy bad luck having two cars randomly stolen from the same spot in only 5 days. Seems more plausable that it's the same people.

If the white one didn't go far, chances are the blue one didn't either.

+1, they must have some education on the cars. Glad you got the one back, best of luck to finding your ol ladies in one peice.

I remove my maft unit if I gotta park somewhere shady too.

One more reason you should buy that Ipod to keep your music on. You can couple a cheap $99 CD player with an Ipod and a $2 cable, and take the Ipod out everytime you get out of the car. Then when the thieves take your stereo to the pawn shop, they;ll think twice about that bullet flying right past their ear getting that stereo that they can't get $25 for. My $100 Sony Player has never had a CD in it, and I could even remove the face if I wanted to. The CD's and cassettes I have lost over the years are way more expensive than the stereos I have lost.

Very glad you got your Supra back in about one piece. GL on finding both the other Supra and the Culprits.

If you don't mind could you fill us in with a few more details, so that some good can come out of this for all concerned?

You said Factory alarms are shit, was yours activated and in working order? If so wouldn't a slim jim set off the alarm? Or do you think they used the shaved key to unlock the door and disable the alarm also?

Did the Police swipe the car for fingerprints? Or is that only something we see for on TV ?

Again good luck with the other Supra

I am so glad to hear yours was recovered, and pretty much all in one piece!

I hope your gf's shares the same fate.

It was the best feeling in the world when the cops called me to tell me mine was recovered!

I'm so glad it was recovered Razo. You got lucky getting it back in one piece. I live in a town that doesn't have a lot of crime but it seems that when people steal cars, it's in waves because they're jobs from LA. As soon as I get my Supra running i'm putting in a killswitch. I'm probably going to get one for my MR2 tomorrow as well.

I hope you get the blue one back in the same fashion dude.

Both my Supras have remote paging alarm systems. So if anyone does anything, my remote alerts me and I can check it out right away. Great peace of mind, just keep your remote with you at night. (Along with a tazer and tip ties;))
