Just posting this in case someone from the area is looking out.

My car was stolen from my driveway in West Eugene (Oakpatch Road) at 10:00PM Tuesday May 24th.

I heard the car start and drive away while sitting at my computer. I got outside just in time to see it turn left and head towards 18th street.

This car is registered stolen with the Eugene Police Department, and if you see it around town (it's pretty noticeable sight-and-sound wise) please call the Eugene Police Department and reference case number 05-42567.

The car is dark blue with 7 spoke 17" wheels, tinted windows, 3" exhaust, and 4500K HID lights. There is also a single-gauge pillar pod inside with an autometer pro-comp boost gauge if you can see inside.

Here is a photo of the car for reference:

The plate number is XSW-088, Oregon plates.

Yep, very insulting. I heard it start from the parking lot, thought "hey that sounds like my car" I looked outside, nothing, and I walked out on the balcony and heard a car driving over the speed bumps and just then they turned on the HID's and I knew that it was mine. I chased them but they were too far.

Incidentally they left an older 280Z idling in the spot next to mine with a shaved key jammed in the ignition and an empty tank of gas.

God knows what they did to mine with fun mods and a full tank of premium :(

i'm sorry for your loss, but this is why us mkiii owners need to buy aftermarket alarm systems BEFORE modding our cars.
screw a damn alarm system, put in GPS u will be able to track the shit out of it then

well check ebay frequently, someone i knew had their car stolen and 2 days later it showed up on ebay, but from what u have stated, sounds like they did it for a joy ride. and i really hate to say this man but, *sniff* they will more than likely torch it.

Heres the kicker about security:
I bought the materials to make a concealed switch for the Fuel Pump yesterday at lunch with the intent to install it this weekend. Had they waited a week they wouldn't have made it out of the parking space before it stalled.

Anyone want some wire and a miniature switch?

Oh I was also looking into a GPS system to buy in the next couple months. Go figure.

A kill switch and an alarm wouldn't be too bad. I'd avoid GPS as it can be a double edged sword, a la onstar and/or the units some car rental companies have used to issue 'aggressive driving' fines.

I hope you get it back soon and not too thrashed on.
