I am currently excited so expect an ass-load of smilies...
Ok so get this...
The wheels were originally listed as "1992 Toyota Supra wheels- $300". There was a picture of them in the listing, and they looked good to me.
I was interesed but not willing to pay that much for stock mk3 wheels, so I offered $200 bucks... He said that he'd take $275... Still a bit too high for my blood, so i waited it out about another month, sent him a final email offering $250, and he told me to come pick them up.
When i get there... I start examing the wheels to make sure they were straight and there was no curb rash... As I'm picking one up I notice it says "16x8" and I'm like "wtf mate? I thought all mk3 wheels were 16x7" ... Then i get to thinking and pick up a wheel with a wider tire... it says "16x9".
I proceeded to rip the $250 out of my pocket and shove it into the dude's hand. :evil2:
To be fair, I tell the dude that there is no way they could be from a 1992 toyota supra, but I don't tell him that they usually go for more money. He says, "I put 1992 on the listing? They're actually from a 1994 supra".
250 bucks for MINT mk4 n/a wheels with tires (crappy, but tires none the less). Deal of the century as far as i'm concerned. :boobies:
