stock injector limits?

i plan on haveing my car tuned sometime this spring and i was wondering what efect the stock 440's would have. i do have a FPR, apex'i neo and a lex afm. thanks for your time

If you are going to all the trouble of those mods, then upgrade the fuel pump and the injectors as well. The Lex and 550's are done a lot, as they are both approx. 25% bigger so it balances out sorta ghetto. Don't forget to drill out your j-tube! gl.

yea i have a fuel pump curently on the way. j tube to what?

Better yet just remove the J tube and install a chevy block off plate.

I just chiseled my j-tube off the plate, ground it down, paint, done. :) Looks just like new. ;)

maybe ill try that. so what is the purpose of the j tube and what are the benifits of bypassing/blocking it off?


edit: nevermind i searched and found the answer(wow imagine that)

so back to the injectors does anybody have any input as to what my limits are as far as boost whilw on stock injectors? (FPR, lexAFM, walbro255, apex'i neo, inovative wideband)

im sure if you search... u can find what some people have done with stock injectors here on the forum. but if i were you, i would send the injectors out to get cleaned and flowtested. if ur planning on raising the boost, i wouldnt trust injectors that are 20+ years old. but if your going to go that far, you might as well just get new injectors

The stock injectors deserve more credit than most people give them. I would deffinately get them cleaned and flowed though. They will be fine under 14 or so psi, most just feel safer replacing them or just go with the general concensus that you have too.
