It's great to hear Shawn chiming in on these things again.

When I get a larger FMIC I'm going to paint it black. I think it looks better, cleaner, and closer to stock. Some may call it a sleeper look but that’s not really the reason. I just don't like the look of a giant gaudy sliver thing showing off out the front of my car. Call it a personal preference.

well...if the color doesn't matter...then i'll be the first person to have a yellow intercooler:yelrotflm no i'm kidding, but i'm going to paint it to silver like the one i have now is...because it looks a lot better...but thats just my opinion...it'll work til i get a bigger FMIC:tdo3:

The color doesn't matter, but the insulating properties of globbering paint on the fins isn't really good for anything, when it comes to heat transfer.

But that wasn't part of the question. :)
