You're doomed.

What are you asking? You took out the alarm. What security system do you have now?
The tt has a kill wire you connect the emergency brake.
And in case you want to know; You remove the accessory connection of the tt and that *would have* allowed the stock alarm to still arm.

if u read this thread it was about the stock alarm system not disarming because one of the parts got worn out on the locks, from my understanding of it the fix is either get the replacement part or disconnect the stock alarm system, my question was is there any kind of switch that will kill the circuit once the current has stopped flowing through it so once the turbo timer has finished, it won't work unless u hold down the switch or something, kinda like an electomagnetic switch. some ppl may have to go the cheap route and still want their car protected like me.

Yeah, well he should have followed shaeff's advice:

Or you could just fix the switch in the driver's side door. ;)

No, instead of fixing a little switch on the back of the key cylinder, that probably just needed adjusting... rip out the theft deterrent system :bigthumb:

my car hasn't gotten there yet but i have always been wondering about making it very difficult to impossible to steal since i have gotten it, no one has answered my question yet is there any kind of switch that will shut off when the turbo timer does but needs to be manually pushed in order to complete the circuit again cuz putting a kill switch on the ignition and efi circuits and then flipping them off while the turbo timer is running won't exactly work and they kinda defeat the purpose of having one, so once again is there a switch that will allow the circuit to be broken once the power stops flowing through it(when the car shuts off).

Just in case anyone was actually wondering, I removed my stock alarm in favor of an aftermarket unit. I didn't feel the need to have two in the car, so the stocker had to go. ;)

If I didn't have another alarm for the car, I would have simply fixed the original one, because it's a pretty decent alarm for a relatively old, stock car. :)

not yet, i may have to in the future lots of stuff is going out on my car, i have had this issue happen to me a few times though and i have managed to pop start my car so i do know that the stock alarm system isn't going to prevent someone who really wants my car from taking it, i thought i would ask to see if there was any way to install or make some sort of electronic kill switch that would go off when the engine does like a toggle switch but being controlled by the electrical current, cuz i don't know about u guys but for me knowing that the stock one will let the engine run isn't good enough.
