Had a thread about a week ago talking about my engine making a ticking noise under boost.( http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27038 ) Most all responses talked about having a detonation issue. Just got some 440cc injectors installed and the thing dumps black smoke under boost but still got the ticking. Cant imagine its still pre-detonating. Not sure what the deal is, the car wont run right unless the distributor is turned almost all the way to the right or clockwise, or it will misfire while driving and stutter every now and then.

Besides that I was wondering if there was a way to turn off or turn down the timing advance on the GE electronics just incase if this is the problem.

And is there anything that can be done to adjust the fuel delivery at idle for these injectors? Its running hella rich.

Thanks again!

Black smoke = rich. Maybe your cold start injector is crap and you are running rich ( black smoke at WOT ). I had this happen one time. I replaced the cold start injector sensor and walaaa just fine.

Another idea is possibly a bad plug not firing correclty causing some richness (not burning all the fuel).
