Still at 14.x under partial throttle and a few PSI

I've noticed that when I'm climbing a hill and I'm giving the engine a little more throttle my boost gauge will climb to ~4-5 PSI while my wideband still sits at 14.x.

I'm about as far from full throttle as you can get but I'm still a little concerned. Should I be?

When I punch it the wideband instantly drops down to 10.x (not tuned :)) and I proceed to fly up the hill...

Sounds about normal Justin and this IS a danger zone with turbo cars as you can end up with pretty bad detonation under these conditions.
(this is where the standard EGR delete can ofter push a heathy engine to commit hari kari)

Ok, that's what I wanted to know.

By now I had assumed it was normal. I've had my car for a long time with many different setups and it's always done it.

I'll just do my best to keep it out of those conditions as best as possible :)

Yep at small throttle openings you need it lean for cruise economy but with modern turbo's you can go into boost very easily so it's a bit of a trade off.

I have my TC set to unlock under these conditions so it can't rattle the motor.
