Come on CK, you're the moderator. You're suppose to have all the answers. You're not suppose to be asking all of us for answers.................;)

Sounds like everyone is leaning towards the Cobra. You're the only one that has the decision to make. We've already made ours. At least you could post us up some pictures to look at. Take some of the cobra and let us see this new beast you're wanting to buy......................lol

Looking good C.K. I'm really hoping you get it now. I'm not really a STi fan. But, that's all that's around my area is mustangs. There's only four or five cobras, but there's probably thirty mustang's. It'll be a little harder to make a mustang stick out from the ordinary. Around here Supras would stick out like a sore thumb, because their aren't ANY. Best of luck................lol

Ok now that im done jokin around.
I'll say this, Ck, do what makes you happy, try not to go so far in debt that it controls your happiness, but like I say, If you can afford it do it.
Thats why I drive my supra as a DD, I enjoy the car, I dont mind paying for the gas. Why? because I can afford it. I may not do alot of other things people do regularly, example: I havent been to a resturant in over 5 months now. this is how i manage my money, cut out the things that take the place of other things. In this case, I'm cutting out fast food and nice dinner meals for the cost of gas, so i can have fun driving around.

Two of my close friends have 03 cobras and they are great cars to drive. They both make over 500 whp(pulley, tune, intake, exhaust, headers) and they are easy to drive. The only problem that one of them has had is that the bolts on the bellhousing ripped out, but that was a freak thing I believe as their cousin owns a mustang performance shop and that was the only time he heard of that happening.
I am not into american cars too much, but with the little amount of money that they put into their cars, they are beasts. they take beatings all day long and come back for more. I would trade the sti in for the mustang as I have driven both and I enjoy driving the cobras a lot more than my friends sti or evo for that matter.

500whp...I have seen a few st's make over 400hp and a couple do 500hp.

A friend had a 350hp Subaru Legacy Sedan..modded by guys who do World Rally Racing and that car flew. The whole car was lightened alot and damn it left 400hp v8s for dead like it was standing still.

Cheers,
Roy

STi too slow? did you upgrade from the stock VF39 yet? go for a GT30 0r 35r rotated mount set up with supporting mods.... it shouldnt be slow then.
but then again, slap a smaller pulley, exhaust and reflash/chip the Cobra and you have yourself damn near 500 rwhp....
you will miss the boxer rumble, trust me...

boxter rumble doesnt apeal to me much, a straight six is sex, and a supercharged v8 isnt far behind... im still on stock vf39 but a gt30 kit is like 3k easy, and it gets me only 400 at the wheels.. I know thats allot, but I want more.. the sti engine is good to 400 at the wheels then becomes shakey after that. the stock cobra engine is good to over 1k hp, although the rear end is it's weak link. Im probibly gonna pick it up tonight

The sc`d cobra is so fun to own. My friend has one that just has: intake, exhaust, chip, and a smaller pulley and the hauls butt! He said it was dyno`d at 425hp and hes got like like $4500 in it. That includes new heads (flow better). I didnt listen to him to much as i was driving his car. No lag is FTW!
