You should be able to purchase the in-car portion of the harness from a junkyard or local owner scrapping their car. If I still had a parts car I would just give it to you.

I suggest posting an ad in the "Parts Wanted" classified section and seeing if someone's got one they'd like to part with.

Autozone sells the harness you need. I bought one back in the day for my 240sx when the previous owner hacked teh harness up to hell.

If my memory serves me correctly, it was like $12bux.

BTW: I have a stock radio for sale out of a 89

That seems like something I heard that you could still be able to get from the stealership... Don't the new Scion's use the same connection?

The plug you need is avaliable in any NON AMPLIFIED Toyota from 87 to current models. ^^^ Yes, Sky-ons use the same plug.

You could also get it from Metra, the part number is 71-1761

I have a Tacoma head unit in my supra and it hooks right up. So from that I would guess the harness is the same? I think its 1986-present use the same connector for most if not all Toyota models.

scosche makes automotive stereo repair harnesses for just such an occasion. they are usually $12 to $15 shipped. check online. i beleive the stock toyota replacement harness is PN TA02R. ive bought a few of them before. the proper harness that will allow constructing an adapter harness between the factory radio plugs to your head unit should be the same part number without the "R" suffix. so order both harnesses if you are installing an aftermarket unit.

ive bought them on Ebay as well as electrogalaxy.com but i havent seen them on there lately.
