Steering wheel, how hard is...

I think I need a new steering wheel . the outer rim of min is all cracked, an pretty much seemslike its dry rotting.. . I really want to keep it cos of the airbag,

but, my wheel looks like ass being that all my interior is all red and white.

is it hard to swap out a steering wheel, seems like all the aftermarket ones dont have air bags..

and what is the normal average price.. I seen alot of different prices on ebay..
I seen 2 that I liked, almost identical, but one had a toyota elblem on it seller is from the UK an wanted something like 60 bills while a identical one was HKS for only like 25 bills seller from US

Keep the wheel you have! Mine has an aftermarket Black leather wrap stretched very tightly over it. I thought it was stock, but it is not, just a cover. Looks great.

I've pulled several steering wheels, just not one with the air bag. I believe all you would need to do is pull the fuse for the air bag, and proceed as normal. If so, you have 3 screws at the back to remove the center piece (w/air bag), and then the one big nut on the wheel itself. Sometimes you can just pull it off. Other times, you need a wheel puller.

airbags suck whne they hit you, but they do save you from hitting your face on the wheel. BTW it took me about a week to get the airbag dust off of my entire body.

try and get it recovered to match your interior

I'm not a fan of first generation airbags. Mine went as soon as I could get an aftermarket wheel.

Only advantage to an airbag I see is a lowered insurance rate. I still dont want one in my supra ever.

the 90 air bag you do nto have to remove the fuse just disconi the battie and even still then you don't have too remmber it will ponly go off if you smach the front end

plus 90 based air bags are really not that good they cna do damge there very powerfull

and there will be 3 screw holding it on back behind the wheel it very easy and can be done by any one

ps the abs connecots are diffetn i bet yae break it trying to remove it
