Just get a cheap battery for now. It'll do better than trying to bring the old one to life.

Cheap battery wont work ;)

If I need another battery I'm just gonna buy another pc680

Thanks for all the help guys I'll definitely do that mod.

The battery should read above 12v. with the key off. It shouldn't drop below 10 with the key in the start position, as mentioned earlier.

Yeah, a cheap battery will work, it just won't last as many years. I only said cheap in case you were cash challenged. If you can afford it, get the most expensive battery on on earth if you want it.

After doing a load test we noticed that the battery voltage dipped to 7V under draw, where as a healthy battery will stay above 9.8V

Mine is going to 7.5-8V while starting. It almost seems to be a pattern, it wont start once every 2 weeks or so.

Can also try a push start :p.

good call if he can move the car....

My car is pretty light its actually not that hard to push start it myself. I push it in and out of the garage all the time.

Did you fix it?

Not yet but will soon, it's not an immediate problem since I can still bump start the car easily, and rarely have to.

Must need a tender.

Well this battery is almost 4 years old and sat completely dead for about 6 months, about 3 years ago. I think it's probably just time to lay it to rest. It didn't have this problem until about 3 months ago.

And. the 30AMP Relay mod really does nothing. it just puts a relay on a relay.

That could be true but there was a noticeable difference even in the sound. Definitely made a louder clicking noise for me... however my solenoid was gone anyways. It didn't work out for me since my relay fried anyway. I only tried it in hopes my start wasn't bad.... wasted a few bucks.

Another PC680 was purchased.

The problem was becoming more and more frequent, pretty sure after 4 years it was just dieing of old age.

Batteries+ said its probably sulfation, just like rayall01 originally said.

If the problem continues after the new battery is installed, obviously it's something else and I will update this thread with that information.
