Negatron, only the little animation screens from the units don't. And I'm running a 5770 here and have no issues with my PC melting as it has been stated. lol

Maxtor 120GB SATA HDD

Built this last year, hoping it'll last me 4 years of gaming before I need to upgrade parts. Although a new hard drive is already needed as I have too many games...

Thermaltake V9 gaming case w/ bottom mount PSU
Corsair 750W PSU
ASUS P6T Motherboard
6GB DDR3 1600 Corsair XMS memory
Intel Core i7 920 @3.2Ghz
Coolermaster V8 Heatsink/fan
XFX nVidia 285GTX
Western Digital Black edition 500GB HDD
Windows Vista 64 Premium

Lets me run SC2 with everything on Ultra/High as suggested settings. Haven't ran into anything that slows yet, but I'm sure Crysis 2 will give it pains.

yeah it wasnt too bad on the load times but do you have the random issue with SC freezing every once in awhile? its not always constant just happens every so often.

Looks like a 3-4 year build.

I built this about three years ago and can still play on Ultra settings:
ASUS P5KPL-CM G31 Motherboard
Intel E6300 Core 2 Duo (not the new E6300 Pentium)
Rosewill 600W Modular PSU
GSkill 4 GB DDR2 800
XFX GTX260 (only 'upgrade' since the build, started with a 7600 GT)
Sony DL DVD Burner
Western Digital 500GB SATAII (OSX/Storage)
Western Digital 160GB PATA (XP)
DLink 802.11n

Currently running OSX 10.6.4 as my daily OS and XP SP3 for gaming.

I'll probably be upgrading myself for the holidays and let the wife have the current rig.

Pretty good, although you would only need to change your GPU. I hear the GTX460 (1GB version) in SLI is awesome.

Most GPU's can run SC2 maxed. I currently have everything maxed and running at 1680x1050.

So to get the train back on it's rails... I hope to GOD the next installment doesn't take as long. Maybe they'll make it an expansion like Broodwars and just add more storyline.. Here's hoping!

Meh, I'll wait for some reviews first... I got burned last time I invested in Starcraft.

Someone give this man a guest pass! I've already given both of mine away.

The AI is very smart in this game; I can't speak for SC1 because I never played it. There's a huge learning curve, but watching replays of good people on youtube has helped me a lot. I still can't beat the computer on very hard, and there is one higher difficulty than that. Online multiplayer is really intense.

Man back in the day, for like almost 2 years I was a Starcraft junkie. Starcraft was a freaking awesome game. I loved using the Protoss in the end. They really and truly were the dominant race you could bring up multiple buidlings at one time which made for expanding your structures alot faster, and that HUGE ship that had like 12 little ass kickers that came flying out attacking was nice, along with speedy zealots they could really kick some ass. IMO followed by the Zerg the load of speedy attacking zerglings, I remember having fun with a newb sending in resource gatherers in a rush and killing people, and the humans had some good stuff but never mastered them, they had those huge kick ass ships though. The firebats would slaughter the glings I remember getting to the point of playing bad ass ladder players that were so freaking good. I was pretty good too though. Back in those days I had a stupid ass 56k modem too and lagged often. Today like some though I don't have the time like I did then....now I do own a PS3 and my gaming comes in fases with a time jealous and supra jealous wife...YEA. That game does sound tempting though, I purchased C & C 4 Tiberian Twilight and it SUCKED bad. Gameplay was sucky and so was the view of the battles IMO.

Got a question about 2v2 online multiplayer. A friend and I started a game against another team and one of the other players disconnected immediately. Does the remaining team mate gain control of the disconnected player's assets?

Also, is there any way to force your units to fire? I thought it would be shift + right click but it's not.

Yes and No with out targeting something.

So one person could be controlling a terran base and a zerg base?

What about killing my own units? Say I have a bunch of probes I want to get rid of.
