This sounds like a wiring issue. The isc may not be wired up correctly through the engine harness to the ecu. I highly doubt the isc is defective. There are many ways to make a wiring mistake on a 1jz harness job and cause all sorts of irritating problems like you are experiencing. Do you have any codes showing up?

Agreed...check for codes and go from there. If no codes, re-check the wiring. I would not begin adjusting anything unless you're sure you know what your are doing.

My idle speed is perfect, cold/warm or with or without electrical load.

Yap with the correct wiring and everything else you should be able to wire CEL and to use A/C, ABS, etc....at least on mine everything works.....thanks to Dr Tweak !

My wiring harness is Mike Urbano, As far as I know, Air conditioning isnt wired in. Im not sure.

But I think Joe said my car was pulling an ABS and a engine code, so he took the lights out, I bet the engine code was somthing to do with idle.

And i know my ABS doesn't work, I believe its a speed sensor. Gotta find which it is!

Maybe ill do this after I go buy my sandwich

For my ABS, had to buy a r154 abs speed sensor to make it work since the w58 is different sensor just an info.

no no codes except the cut speed wire.

A/C is wired up just not working cause its not charged or anything.

i dunno if its wiring or not, but seeing all the other wiring problems we had (CPS 4 times, Tach wiring) i wouldn't doubt it

my ABS light is on but i think its just cause i dont have a speedo cable. i need the lower piece BAD

The two black/red wires in the isc connector (pins 2 and 5) should have 12v switched with the ignition from the efi main relay. The other 4 wires should be checked for continuity to the ecu connector.

Ask him if the front clip he got had abs or not. If it didn't you'll need the rear sensor that goes on the transmission. The sensor from the r154 and a340 are supposed to be the same. I got the wire harness for it from elmhurst toyota for $30 too.

well i adjusted the two throttle idle screws and it was idling perfect around 900 rpm where i want it and then after it got going down the road it still idles at like 360 rpm. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

The ECU is going to adjust the idle even if you play with the screw on the throttle body. That's not gonna solve your problem.

whe it's idling at 900, unplug the ISCV so that it won't change.

well the 1j was breaking up BAD on friday so on saturday i reset the ecu and to clear a few stored codes. it no longer idles like shit and it hasn't stalled since and i put 200 miles on it (HARD miles) raced a buddy of mine saturday night and beat him 7 out of 8 races LOLOL i missed 3rd.....
