so there is a local guy here with stacked gaskets to get the compression he wanted. he has a felpro on the block a steel shim and then another felpro hes been running this way for a year at 16psi on a 57trim pump fuel just bumped into him again and thought it was pretty funny :biglaugh:

Way back we used to use decomp plates with 2 gaskets.....

LOL probably find 2 would seal quite well as there's so much gasket material it can flex to fill any gaps
(that and not enough compression to ever detonate)
It has to do ugly things to the squish and efficiency of the motor at cruise though.

VDUB guys have been doing it for years. A friend of mine did it with stock head bolts (higher torque though) for quite a while +1 year I think, and ran + 16 psi on a big turbo.
