I don't get any Supra work done by sleeping do I??

But seriously, I polished so much last night and today, I don't want to see another piece of sandpaper for a week

Noooooo

Haha Just kidding, I will get it done in no time. :naughty:

Let me know if you change your mind on the intake and TB. I will pay you a flat hourly rate on it. Not sure if you are working after school or not. My 2J manifold has to look better than Jay's. I can't have an Alabama boy outdoing a Florida boy.

5$ an hour and we have a deal my friend :naughty: :evil2:

I have a dremel, so I can get most of the cracks and stuff. But I dunno, Jay's manifold is NICE!! I'm sure you would be pleased with my work.

dang man you have done a lot of nice work to your supra.

nice work.

Yeah I get that a lot from my family and friends, they think I'm a Supra FREAK!

Not only that, but I lost a couple girls over the Supra, but who hasn't?!

Anyway, I'm getting ready to lower it when I save up some bucks, and I turn 16 REALLY SOON (like in a month)!!!

Hey if he can get it looking anything like mine, than you won't have to worry about it being better than Jay's! As far as being better than mine, well them tiny little hands are really gonna have to work hard, but he was there when I was putting the finishing touches on mine, so he definately knows how! And shoot, I stopped at 2000, he has 4000 now, so I don't think you will have anything to worry about. As long as that texture on the IM doesn't get to him. Haha. Haven't worked on mine since we were at Jay's, still got to finish the back part.

The throttle body on the other hand I did do, but I need some different polish, it doesn't shine like the IM.

Nice to see another young guy round here. Good work so far, I might have to get some polish from you when I get my new motor sorted out.

You ARE going to start craving boost soon though, all of the build threads, NA jokes and performance part talk that you'll read here will eventually push you over the edge, heck you might be closer to breaking point than you think - I was a happy NAer, until I had a ride in BPU'd Skyline... Now I've got a wad of cash waiting for the first 2JZ that pops up :nono:

Good Luck with the build man.

I rode in Jay's car and it was really fast. But I wouldn't mind riding in a 900hp anything (Besides a dumptruck) :biglaugh:

And Keylan the IM and TB are looking great. If you ever need it done the right way send it to me :biglaugh::biglaugh:

Here's how I'm polishing the parts, if you're interested (I'll send you a PM), I'm polishing parts for nearly the same cost it would be for me to polish it.

1. Clean parts with engine degreaser if needed
2. Start out removing paint and aluminum texture with a rough grit (60-80) until smoother and paint is gone
3. Take medium grit steel wool to the surface until the rough scratches are out
4. Sand with 220, 400, 800, 1,000, 2,000, 800, 1,000, and 2,000 in that EXACT order. If still not like a mirror, repeat the 800, 1000, and 2,000
5. Take polish to it with a buffing wheel, dremel, or by hand.

This process can take around 20-200 hours depending on what you want, and how you want it to look. Just that one piece of the manifold took WELL OVER 35 hours.
