i found either bending the tips on a set of needle nose plyers work's good, (needs heat to do this aka torch,) or using a set of 90* snap ring plyers works good too,

make sure you geta set that fit's the wholes fairly well but not so tight they pop out under pressure, and not a set so loose they pop out before you can eveen make a decent attempt..

but one word for yeah...

there-a-bitch!

~edit~ and yes the ebay ones work fine, some times you can get ahold of the vendor and have them send out just the ring for a few bucks, if you have problems finding it around town.

My only problem is that when the ring is fully compressed it doesnt get small enough to go in the flange. So its either over lap it or figure out some other way to do it. And i have a set of 90degree snap ring pliers.

if you dont have snap ring pliers that are tough enough (or dont have any at all) just take a pair of needle nose pliers and grind the tips until they fit in the holes in the snap ring. squeeze it together and have a friend with a flat-head screwdriver push the end 180* from the pliers into the flange. ive done it this way a few times, and its worked quite well.

Still the snap ring is just way to large, you would need to overlap it for sure no matter what. The one that i got with the bov is just to bent now so i guess im just gunna buy another off of ebay because no one in Reno has a snap ring. Anyone wanna come do it for me?!

I must have a different ring than you guys because this is ridiculous. I went ahead and ordered another one off of ebay.

you must get discoureged easy..

dont be affraid to get your fingers' in there.

when you get that ring compressed, try to wrap it in, or as we in the auto industy say "roll it in" kinda like putting rings on a piston.

Im telling you guys there is no way without having to overlap the ring. I tryed the putting one side in first and trying to sqeeze the other side but its just way to strong for me and my dad.

Well today i went to Superior Hydraulics and i asked for an internal snap ring and the guy was like ok. He looks around for about a minute then brings me a spiral locking ring. Man this thing kinda gave me a fight but i got it in and this ebay ssqv is pretty nice, pretty loud. I still have to play with it somemore. So if you cant get your factory snap ring in get a spiral locking ring!
