It came with the kit, guys. Leeme alone. I got exactly what I expected from the kit. And even though they are junk, every SS wg I have seen stick has stuck open, not closed.

Justin yes it is working fine now, thanks for asking....

Hrm... $125 for a "Fischer Price my first wastegate" or $215 for a Tial. Tough choice there, especially when you are one stuck wastegate away from a new engine.

so true.. i ran a turbonetics first and now after talking to a few people my only logical choce for my next setup was the tial 44. with how much money i have spent on this latest round of upgrades... i could never see risking my whole setup to a crappy wastegate...

Im sorry.. but Tial FTW!

I had the same problem on my s14 with a turbonetics deltagate wastegateII. When the wastegate wasnt fully hot from running it hard it would work fine. But after it got hot from getting on the boost a few times it would stick open. Then I would shut it off and let it cool down and boom, it would work again... Must have been because of the expansion of the materials in the wastegate.

BTW - No I didnt get on it hard when the engine was still cold...

You have to take it apart and sand the shaft to a mirror finish. Then you shouldn't have a problem. Although I have been told the springs are cheap too and don't tollerate the heat very well.
Get a new HKS spring, sand the shaft to mirror, and you should be golden.

And to answer the first post, yes the wastegate is stuck.

Suprabad says;
Unless you're running insane boost this procedure works great. This is what I did and no problems w/ 18lbs of boost. Cheap is good as long as you prep it right! You can throw all the money at a car you want and if it's not prepped and maintained right you got squat,:rant: Jack Squat to be exact.
