SS line on oil pump- now oil pan won't fit

I installed the SS braid oil line that runs from the pump to the block (it's the one that DM sells and I think IdealSupra was the first to try this). It fits great, but now the oil pan won't fit. I can force it on there if I hit it hard enough but the holes won't all line up, I either get the left front or right rear to line up, but not both. The way I see it I have three options:

1. Not run the SS lines and use the lame stock ones instead
2. get some of the holes to line up, bolt those in, then bend it until the rest line up and bolt them in as they are lined up
3. find the spot on the pan that is blocked by the fitting and use a hammer to make it fit

I'm a bit nervous about the hammer method; I'm sure it will work but I don't want to bend the pan or something and make it so that it no longer seals. I've spent way too much time and money on this rebuild so if the pan leaks after I'm finished then I'm going to cry. Thoughts?

I made 550rwhp on the "lame stock lines" and I'm pretty sure Duane is making 800 on them.... :nono:

True, search button must be broken. ;)
I now run the ARZ line which eliminates the stock bango.

Just don't see that the stock hardpipes are such an issue or restriction....

I could understand changing it out if 7M's were prone to self destruction of the bottom end due to starvation but they're not as long as you keep the pan full ;) (there isn't even anecdotal evidence that there's an issue so the braided lines are 100% chi chi)

True, I just added the new line since the bango would be more of a restriction.

Yep I guess "bling" is a way to describe "chi chi" it's a term from my past in mountain biking and was used to describe something "pretty" that isn't really an upgrade as it doesn't serve any better function than stock.

Chi chi's are fine if that's what you're buying them as NOT when they're advertised as improving performance and unsuspecting people shell out the $ based on that.

So it sounds like contrary to the "how to improve the oil system" thread that the SS line and fittings aren't actually going to improve anything and that really the biggest and only boost that I'll get is from removing the pressure-based oil cooler lines and replacing them with 8-AN lines that go into an oil cooler with a thermostat (I have one from an RX-7) and then adding an accusump. Would you all agree with this?
