Sponsor Towelie (Me!) in 2007 Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics

For the second year in a row, I will be joining some of my friends in the annual Polar Bear Plunge into the Ohio River on Saturday, Feb 24th. Themes are encouraged, and this year we are dressing as South Park characters, and I will be going as Towelie - my favorite. :icon_bigg I'm starting on the costume this weekend, so if anybody has any suggestions on making it, I'm all ears.

Last year my group raised about $800 and jumped into 42 degree water and the entire event raised more than a quarter million dollars with 1500 jumpers. If you are interested in supporting the cause, feel free to make a pledge at the following URL so I can beat my team members...

First of all, I think what you're doing is wonderful. I love the Special Olympics. I feel so blessed to be in the physical shape I am in, and I swear I give thanks everyday for it. I don't take it for granted. You're doing a great thing...........:bowdown:

THANK YOU JAY! That was really generous, and I will make my plunge worth it.

I'm thankful for my physical/mental health, too. I worked with mentally ill and/or developmentally disabled adults for a year in the early 90's, and it is a very hard road for them.

My team raised in the neighborhood of $1200, and the entire event raised more than a quarter mill.
