I think Spike Tv needs to add a show to there like up, Supras 30min. show about improving supras. Not all this V8 crap and them trash talking turbos calling them hair dryers. May be we should email them "anyone can build a V8 with tons of power but it takes a real man to build a inline 6".
What do you think?:evil2:

then all the proud usdm boys would stop watching it. You're right about needing skill to rebuild supras. Which means there aren't enough people to reach out to for a show like that.

For every 1,000 V8 Gearheads out there, there's probably 1 Inline Six Gearhead.

As cool as it would be to see a show like that, It would not be likely to happen because people aren't going to invest millions, potentially billions, on a big national television show for a small group of Inline 6 enthusiasts, with a majority of them probably not being TV-watchers.

This would barely be considered Supra specific, but before it gets offtopic, do you actually own a '92 NSX?

A show catering specifically to Supras? Not gonna happen.

Not sure why you think calling turbos hairdryers is trash talk.

I don't need some low budget TV show to tell me how to modify a Supra.

Even if they did do it you would end up getting pissed of at something they did and you would stop watching the show ......back to square 1.

Not any more but here is the story behind my nsx,
I bought my 92 nsx black on black, 5-speed, 29k on the clock back in 1999 for $13,000.yes hell of a deal, once in a life time. It is a friend of a friend story. The guy Inherited the car from his brother that passed away in 1995. His wife hated the car so he had to park it in a storage unit and drove it like twice a year. Then i found out that he wanted to sell it to pay off his house since he didnt drive it. I talked him down to $13,000 ( he didnt know what he had) and i ran to the bank before he could change his mind. and it was mine for $295 a month. so now i had my 89 supra and a 92 nsx

Well i started college in 2001 and had my step-father take over the payments in 2002 because i couldn't afford the $295 Mo. payment as i was a broke college student and going to as many $5 a glass keg parties. And then once i was out of college i would pay him what he payed and get the nsx back. Well he then sold it to some guy in Michigan in 2004 so he could by a corvette.:nono: and well no more nsx.

I know $295 i should have found some way to keep it but being young and stupid i didnt, and i have been kicking my self in the ass since then.
I will try to dig up a pics. of both for you all to see. I also sold my 89 supra to pay of college.

they used to have an import tuning show. no one watched it and it got canned. they have tried to bring it back a few times but same thing. {shrug} it was usually a civic type car that was getting and intake and exhaust so it kinda was pointless as thats pretty basic

They did have a "tuner" show, but like mkiiina said, it was just a civic with a stereo and some stupid easy bolt ons. (Then again, everything but Muscle Car and Extreme 4x4 are...)

I have never seen an import show that I would actually admit to watching pop up, on any channel. They need to appeal to the masses, and the masses are ricer Hondas... thats the bottom line.

Ive seen the episode only once, and it had to be about 3 years ago. Mainly the were discussing the differences between the two setups and which one they thought was more streetable. I remember them saying to 600hp car felt way faster than the 1000hp car. If anyone could find that would be great, but they are going to have exhaust all resources

You have to remember that Spike TV is the former TNN (The Nashville Network) and is still located in Tennessee. Both Spike and Speed Channel have tried to have import shows in their lineups but they just dont work. Speed Channel has a better chance of making something that works, but just hasnt as of yet. Im still a musclecar fan (since I was 12) so I love watching Muscle Car and HorsePower TV.

Does anybody remember Twins Turbo? I forgot which show they were on, but they had a hell of a supra they were building. The tri-fecta I think they referred to it as. 1000hp; 10 sec 1/4mi; and 1 lateral G in the skidpad. Whatever happened to them or the car??
