Hey guys on my car I just bought the seller said that the speedo cable the elbow to be particular is broken. The cable being broken results is that when I have it in park it will go into reverse and nuetral when running but when put it in nuetral anf try to put it in drive it dies. Unless I give it some throttle. The speedometer doesn't work obviously. I didn't know if someone that has gone through through before might be able to tell me what cable I need its a automatic '89 with a 1 jz swap. I believe the running problem is because the speedo is broken. I wasn't sure which one I would need either the long or short.

Your speedo cable has nothing to do with the normal operation of your engine.

PM Lee_MA61 on here he lives in Norwalk and should be able to give you a hand if you need it.

Actually it does...but I doubt it's the cause of this problem.
