speedo cable

mines been doing that for a while. my lower cable snapped on me so i replaced that now everytime the car is cold or its cold outside it squeaks behind the dash, i think i just need to replace the upper cable or something.

Was it the lower or upper cable that you replaced??

It is usually the lower cable that breaks....to find out, just disconnect the upper cable and turn it with a drill. If the speedo works, it's the lower cable.

To lube the cable, do the same thing and drip some oil inside while holding the end up high.
