hey its been awhile since i have been on so i would like to say hey to everyone again.

i just finished my supra's turbo job and exhaust. now i have the problem of the speedo cable or gear is broken. i was wondering how hard it is to change out the part needed to be replaced and how cheap is the part. reason y i'm asking is i would like to know what my speed is and to top it all off i would like to get all the bugs out of the equation before i go any further with the build... any suggestions please let me know

Theres three pieces to the cable if I remember correctly. The main piece cost a good amount but for what i've seen that's the main problem. just pull out your gauge cluster and disconnect it from the back and pull it through the firewall (The cable comes the fire wall near the middle of the engine bay more on the drivers side behind the drivers side valve cover I think). It snakes to the pass side where you'll have to remove some panels/heat shielding to get it loose. It connects to the drivers side of the tranny. It's pretty easy the hardest part is getting it through the firewall and to the gauge cluster.

Correct me if I'm wrong here guys..... I haven't done this in a good bit.

Shouldnt have to remove anything on the trans side. Although if your replacing the smaller piece sometimes it can be a pain to get it off the gear on the trans with the trans mount there.

Both connections for the big to small and small to gear are just twist on off like bolts and nuts.

Couldnt find it in the epc too quick today. But one of them is cheap and the other is a little bit more.

that ones cheap if I can remember correctly, the big cable cost alot. Just go to Toyota and see if they happen to have one. I ordered one in San diego along time ago though so I'm not sure how quick your gonna get one.
