Spec clutch rivets...wtf?

I was attempting to install my spec stage 3+ clutch today and noticed something startling...The pressure plate does not have any rivets at the locations indicated in the photograph. Is this a f-up on specs behalf? it seems that these rivets would prevent excessive elongation of the clutch straps under load. I'm calling spec on monday but in the meantime, i'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Also, i just found another picture of a spec pressure plate WITH the rivets installed...POS clutch...i should have had my engine in today!

Fuck, I didn't check my spec pp when I installed my clutch. I really hope its fine.

This should be really easy to check anyway, just pull off an inspection cover and look for the rivet. Should be able to see whether it's there or not pretty easy, and it's only two bolts.

well great, this looks like another delay! It looks like I'll be in touch with spec first thing monday morning....

according to spec, these pins are an assembly aid and are not necessary...i guess we'll see how long this pressure plate holds up...
