There are clearance issues with the shock tower. The ct26 housing already sits incredibly close, anything bigger will not fit, so the Driftmotion adapter manifold will not work. You would have to get a dedicated 1JZ exhaust manifold for that turbo.

honestly, I had the ct26 manifold kit from Driftmotion and I think that the SP61 would fit, but it will be damn close to the shock tower, possibly touching it. A big shot with a sledge hammer could fix that though:biglaugh:

Maybe. You can drop the engine with the turbo already bolted on and MAYBE clear.

Good luck pulling that turbo off (sp61) with the engine in the car. The studs on the manifold are too long, you wouldn't be able to move the turbo to clear the flange, much less install the turbo with the engine in the car. Even unbolting the manifold from the head will not work since there's not enough clearance.

Barely any clearance with a ct26. Imagine something with even just a slightly bigger turbo housing.

^he would also have to have a block off plate for the wastegate flange.. as the sp61gt has an internal wastegate....

He could ship out the manifold to get a new flange welded on, and at the same time get the external tube chopped off and closed up.

I have that exact XS t3 manifold as in the picture now with a 60-1 and the hood basically rests on the turbo. I personally think that their will be now room for a t3 ct26 adaptor with the xs manifold. You might have better luck with another manifold that sits lower.
