Grrrrrr. I was working on installing some things in my now running Supra again and went to put the parts in the trunk as I worked. I noted that there was water in the freakin trunk AGAIN!

I have replaced the taillight gaskets, sealed the wing mounts and tightened down the hatch.... There has to be a source I am missing... I had 2 inches off nasty in there.

I neeeeeed to get other things fixed where is this coming from? I so had my plan to put new hood hinges on, on track.

Check the lower glass molding piece. There are like five bolts that you can seal with silicone. You can take them off from underneath the hatch. They are small 8mm nuts under the lower hatch cover. Does this explanation make sense???

I have replaced the taillight seals and sealed em up good.Im thinking from the amount of water that its the whole hatch seal. (deck seal)

Its like chasing an ant in the grass...

i sealed the holes in the hatch frame with silicone. the frame down the sides has a hole in the corner at both ends that may allow water in that collects in the valley the hatch sits in. I had water in the hatch plastic interior cover all the time after rain and i think sealing this up helped. Use black silicone.

also i have been told that the place on the tail light where the red piece meets the rear mounting piece that over time it will loose its seal. the two pieces are moulded together here and if you smear some flowable silicone here (with the light off) it will seal off the light. next time i take them off i will do this.
