I've had a few people ask me before what a 1.5JZ-GTE sounds like...
So I made a short video, for sound purposes mainly, to anyone curious.

Note - This is with a super silent Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion. ;)

Only running 10PSI in this video...So don't expect anything special.

*edit Instead of creating another thread, thought I'd throw in this video, too.
Just a lame burnout...didn't really have intentions of lighting it up. :)

my 1.5jz sounds nothing like that! i have t78, hks 272 cam's and a dual 3 inch exhaust sounds like a v8 then when the 44mm wastegate opens its like all hell broke lose.

Good job? :dunno:

Did I not iterate already that the lowest dB-rated catback exhaust was installed on the car during this video?
I'm happy for you that your car sounds like a truck...
But I kept it quiet, simple & clean with this exhaust.

And I assure you, with open cutout & 50MM HKS, screams equally as loud. ;)

Thought it sounded like an auto...or you got mad shifftin skillss lol

Definitely Auto. ;) This was back during one of the first times I went WOT with the new stall...
Needless to say, trying to hold the gear to 8000RPMS,
The stall hitting + boost = hand went flying off the shifter to go into 2nd. :biglaugh:

I forgot to ask if you upped your rev limiter too but you must be running standalone
3800 is crazy high. I don't go over 2k around town, but then again i don't have your auto or quiet exhaust ;)

Sounds great Jeff! Especially coming form one Tanabe owner to another.

I think it sounds great. A nicely tuned exhaust running on a very conservative setup. Good job again man! When is the boost being turned up? :evil2:

Well unfortunately I'll no longer be using this quiet exhaust.

I don't think there's a way to really tone down a straight 4" pipe. :biglaugh:

Thanks Nick!
I had a chance to run it at about 16PSI...Which felt great,
But I needed more boost...with less work. ;)

This turbo is coming off tomorrow, and I'll hopefully have the new setup
going in a week or so. We'll see how everything goes...
