JJ, I think he said he temporarily unplugged his AFM, which would explain the code 31. Otherwise, you're right, that needs to be addressed as high priority.

yeah sounds like the code 22 is the cold start problem i had, it takes about 10 starts and fires to get enough heat going and gas to stay running.

Update: Finally got the car running. We reset the ecu to clear the code and change the oil and the car fired right up. Thanks for all the help.

Resetting the ECU only clears codes. It won't "fix" anything. Neither will changing the oil. If that's all you did there still be gremlins.

To be honest, I don't know what exactly was the problem. There was so many people who had a hand on it trying to fix it before Jay and I did. The car sat there for 3 years with different people working on it. I'm just glad the car is running now.
