Hey, so I posted last week in the general getting some opinions on prices and such for a Supra I have been looking at. It's owned ( I'm not getting it till this weekend) by a friend of my fathers, and she is getting a new eclipse but is pretty sad she is letting it go. Ended up paying $2000 Canadian for it.

Its a bone stock 7mge, just with an older alpine deck in it. Its white with the burgundy leather interior. Really not much rust on it, couple spots where paint is bubbling on it, and few little spots with chips and such. So I am pretty excited about it, going to put a different deck in, eventually do something about the seats, as they are leather, and kind of warn.

Only mod I may do to start off is the K&N induction kit, just since I have put K&Ns in all my cars, and will use nothing but now. Engine (which there is no pictures of to show unfortunately) has only 140,000 kms on it, and is mint. Not a single oil drop on it. Ill post up some more pics when I pick the car up.

I figure down the line I may get a 7mgte, but for now, it will be my new daily driver, till I can afford another one :evil2:

Anyways enough with the babbling

Keegan , or kragnorok, whichever you prefer

Ditto on the rust, she's rotting away man, you may want to hold off on that one and wait for a better one to come around. The interior needs some TLC too, plus the mouldings are FUBAR. Plus, stay away from a K&N when the car in question has an AFM, like this car. The oiled filter will mess up the AFM over time.

Ya, I'm thinking twice about it now, went and saw it again, and the rust is a little worse than i thought, I may just wait and look for a turbo later, when I can find a better deal.

Thanks for the info guys, appreciate it.

I wish I could find deals like that, but I see you live in Florida. Finding a rust free mid 80's or even 90's Toyota is next to impossible in Alberta.

hold off for a 7MGTE. it has more HP than the n/a,but i think heavier.
i used to run a K&N until it ruined my afm,so i would advise staying away from oil type filters. just get a dry type.
just keep on looking

The extra weight of the turbo car is negligable compared to the power difference between the two. I'd have a 2-300 lb heavier anyday if it would spank it's NA counterpart, which this car doesn't dissapoint in that area ;).
