is it bad to think the usdm twins in ttc spool fast? lol.. I'm loving the spool.. seems very quick.. doing some testing (just got my clutch pretty much broken in) i can get .8 bar by like 3-3500.. but from there it creeps up to 1 bar were i have spark blowout.. going to have to gap my plugs down..

But man it seems sooooooooooo much better then my old 67 1j.. even better then my stockish (3" exhaust) 7m beater car.. but to give some credit to the 7m my stock bov is dead so it leaks like a mofugga.. lol..

The engine seems to have 100x the torque of the 1j.. I'm loving it! and gas milage seems good for have an ok tune on it..

only downfall.. is that damn boost creep.. hopfully it wont creep over 17-18 psi.. and the lack of traction.. it spins 1st.. hopfully its just the cold road and the shit 275 continentals i have.. gonna try some 285 or maybe 295s w/ good rubber next

this weekend going to give it a good tune (well as best I can on the street) and take it to the track and see what it does.. have a running bet with a buddy of mine.. under a 13.5 in my 1st 2 passes ever with the car on wg and he pays my next track visit.. and my other buddy says if i go 12s on wg hell buy me dinner, lol.. but since itll probably be hitting over 1 bar on wg I think its doable.. just my driving is in question (where the bets started from my 1j going 13.8s at 115 lol)

tissimo did you just tie the exhaust and intake flapper open or did you cut them out?i also read about bypassing the little vacume swith's or vsv's,what ever there called.i haven't taken mine appart to see what it look's like inside yet.there just tie wired open right now.
i also plan on running my 1j harness on it.it's running the mkIV 6 spd ecu right now and it's got two o2 sensor's.wiring isn't really that neat and i don't know if i want to deal with it.any thought on that

I took them both out.. broke out the ceramic one (on accident.. reading mtr's secret sauce.. just trying to break the valve not the shaft but broke it all.. lol. so welded a tab to hold the ceramic ends in.. so I didn't have an exhaust leak.. ) took out the intake one and welded the hole up..

TTC on CT-12bs is an excellent choice. It is supposed to "kill" your bottom end, but mid to high rpms is great - and they flow enough for 400whp< on the 2JZ.
There is also a theory that TTC conversions help preserve the life of your rear turbocharger as well, since at ~3800rpms the airway is not actuated to "snap" the second turbocharger online and up to speed, VERY quickly. Because there is an even progression of spool between the turbochargers, there won't be as much stress to cause premature failure in the system.
