Hey all, im new to the site and new to owning a toyota. I picked up a 91 supra at the shop i work at, from an older gentleman who was the original owner. To start off about the car its a real beauty white on white with blue leather interior and not to mention a non smoker, garage kept and almost completely flawless with 81k!>>>>Well enough about the good heres the bad and from what im reading is a pretty typical situation...blown head gasket! and the fact he has no sense of smell and drove it untill it shutdown, so im in the mists of reparing this problem and intend on keeping it as close to original as possible, nothing really fancy except quality parts and work...i hope.... So far within the past two weeks ive pulled the engine and tranny took the head off and had the head machined 20 thou, valve seals, lashed, 3 angle. Well thats about as far as i got with working 10hr days and staying late excited on getting it done and driving it, so im here looking for answers and information, direction, knowledge, whatever can be offered and as much as i can read and learn...so thats me and thats my "project car"! oh i will be rebuilding the block from bottom up since he detonated cyl 3 piston...:3d_frown:

I misread the title and came in here expecting something to catch my attention..........:icon_mad:

Welcome to Supramania and good luck on your rebuild. Sounds like it'll be a great car once you get the engine problems worked out. Good luck.

^---that's the only way to do it..:D

If you want to keep it stock then more power, if you want to go wild, there are also options that can keep your car tasteful...
