put some pressure into the side port and let me know if you get any pressure coming out the dump?

i have a knock off and it would appear the shaft ever so slightly leaks as i can feel pressure out the dump, was wondering if genuine did the same

thanks :D

the diaphragm is fine, no tears or anything, looks like its getting stress fractures as the red is starting to go white in areas so i'll replace it later when it does leak lol

no pic but it's your typical hks knock off

i was just curious to see if genuine ones leaked past the shaft too
Its not leaking alot and valve still actually moves up and down fine, no play in the shaft just obviously a bit too much clearance around it or whatever is supposed to seal the shaft isn't quite right

Supra Girl, I haven't tried what you suggested. But I can tell you that I have my HKS standard(40mm) wastegate hooked up so that the vacuum line is connected from the side port of the wastegate to the compressor housing. In this configuration the boost holds perfectly up to the spring presssure, without a hint of boost creep.
