Cause I only today realized something so stupid that it defies logic that I never noticed it before.

So, I'm down checking fuses and stuff on the driver side cause lucy is being wierd again and it dawns on me that my big thick plush, but generic floor mat is kinda pushed all the way up under the pedals. So I pushed the throttle down to see if I was getting full travel out of it. hmmmm....looks like its hitting the mat before it bottoms out.

Take the mat out of the car and go for a test drive. reach operating temp and stomp it to the floor while pulling out onto hwy20. Tubo spools, tires break loose, hit redline and had to start feathering it in second to get the tires back on the ground.

Floor mats! They rob horsepower! I never thought of that. DUH!

Now that you have this wisdom...GO GET CUSTOM MATS. If you have ever had a prooly fitting mat make your pedal stick to the floor...you would know why. (it happened to me...twice)

That has happened to me a couple times at work, I was pulling a customers car out and almost slammed into a row of new Lexus cars. I had the brake pedal mashed to the floor, and it was brake torqueing, I had to turn the ignition off. I about shit, it turned out to be the floor mats. I now warn people who have loose floor mats, extra floor mats, so many people put extra floormats or carpet in so their floormats won't get dirty.....it's very dangerous!:nono: I have seen complaint's from the low power like you had too Weez.

i had problems to with the floormats and gas pedal.
my uncle adjusted my clutch pedal so it won't interfere with the floormat.

you wanna hear a funny story? i had some mint supra mats a long time ago (when i lived in toronto), and on top of that i had these thin plastic mats to protect them... and on top of that when the winter came i put some big rubber ones with channels to absorb all the melted snow.... well one day i floored it and i let go of the gas and it was stuck!!! i was slamming on the brakes spinning, etc, etc ... finally i turned the car off and coasted off the road like a retard.... luckily it was pretty empty so i didn't get into an accident.. learned a valuable lesson that day.... 2 floor mats is pushing it, 3 is too many! :)

my stock floor mats get under the pedals and piss me off so i just took the driver side 1 out and put it on the passenger floor.

shits a big safety hazard i dont think ill ever put that floor mat back in.
