Since the Motec is being installed, we are trying to utilize all the options we have.

Thanks to Brian at RREV for doing the drawing for the part that requires my cam sensor to work.
Myself and a bud made this part tonight and after 3.5hrs it is done! (other than the anodizing) It will go against the middle section of the cam gear and the bolt will go through the new part. Since the part has a counterbore, the OEM bolt can be used as well. The wheel you see here will have a magnet attatched then have a sensor that will read each revolution. We didn't make slots like the Titan cam gears but the round holes look like the actual cam gear so at least that will match. :) Oh! Also is a pin that will allow the wheel to be taken off and put back in the exact postion at any time.

Thanks again Brian and John Reed RREV crew for helping me on this

Woot!
Looks nice Duane.
How exactly does this thing work?
Where does the sensor plug in at?

How much more of the motec do they have to install? I'm anxious to see the beast unleash!
:)

Here is a pic of what it would look like (this is Nate's car since I was there today) We didn't take the cam bolt out but to give an idea I just placed it against the gear. looks like I will be able to use my timing cover still! It will sit past the cover!!
I am only worried about the clearance by the fat rad hose I have (should be ok)

Duane

Duane,
you just copied and pasted this same thing in the motec thread and ignored my questions you quoted.
lolzzzzz.
Now get on that, and answer my questions yo!
:)

You need to read as it was already posted :nono: Just in case it is not obvious. Since the cam turns it will read each revolution therefore will need to have a magnet where? ;) On the edge of the part I made.

I was thinking about this.....

since you went tec2. Then I assume you removed the CPS all together.

This will work but might I suggest you triple check the clearance inbetween that peice and your lexan timing cover. It is going to be close and I am still curious where the VR sensor is going to be attached. Also, are you installing a motor torque plate to minimze the torquing of the engine. Man is that real close for comfort on that pipe ;)

btw I thought you ditched those true cam's and went with the bling titan ones???

and the final thing,

did you decide where to mount the ignition boxes AND the Motec? :)

Yes I did get rid of the CPS all together and now I have to do something custom since the OEM CPS will no longer work with the mounting of my set-up. I probably would have done this anyway since it will be a much cleaner install.

I have looked at it as you can see in the pic it will be close but I am not worried. The sensor cut out is not yet "cut" in this part. I will send it down to RREV and have them do it since I don't know the size of the sensor.

You have a torque plate as you speak of? I do also have solid mounts.

That pic is of Nate's engine figgie ;) Not mine. I have a white engine bay remember :icon_razz. It was to show you of how it will look.

The MoTeC will stay in the car (under dash) and the boxes will see soon ;) Gonna look sweet! :biglaugh:

So my custom made part for the cam sensor is back from anodizing! here is a pic. I will send it out so you guys get it for this week. If you guys need it ASAP please let me know in this thread. I also included a dowel for you. :)

Thanks
Duane
