how is tuning coming along?

I just got off phone with Ron a while ago and he has done some tuning. Last night we tried to tune it but my laptop kept dying. I assume he is now using his.

If Ron gets a chance I am sure he will post up but I won't bother him for now. :biglaugh:

We have put enough miles on it now to start boosting a little. Give a little more time and 35PSI + Nitrous here I come! :D (that will be of course when we hit the dyno.

lol ron, well i wasn't joking, i was really curious how you break in your motors,

i just finished breaking my brothers car in, which i didn't let idle very long, kept the rpms through a safe range, didn't go above 3k untill 500 miles were on the motor, and didn't boost hard till 1k, (3 days latter lol)

and now i have 100 miles on my red car with a full rebuild, and was just curious if there's any tips other then drive her easy?

I've always heard not to stay at the same rpm's for too long. I heard it's better to go thirty five and then to fifty and then back to whatever, but not to drive it one speed forever.....................:dunno:

That's what I understood also.
I just finished a 1000 mile break-in, never over 3k, and never held the same RPM for an extended period. I need to change my oil and get that Castrol sludge out, but considering I just ate half my body weight in deep fried turkey, I'll wait til tomorrow to do that, LOL
