Yeah I always thought VW's were fast little cars, hes got a GTI 1.8T. I did some research my self and they weigh about 2800-2900 pounds. Also the turbo is small which means almost no lag probably.

This should be fun though I think, his family is into european cars he tells me and that they all have volvos and Beamers and stuff. Might learn something from him. Thanks for the info.

I dont know he might be able to get you but it would be close. i would say try slapping on a few easy parts before you go just to be sure. also why not make him come out to a local track then you dont hve to worry about getting caught and you know the traction surface is good and if its that close there will still be no denying who won.

some versions of the 1.8t make 150 hp :nono: yes, that's very sad

edit: i believe the gti is the 180 hp version though, but double check on that

yes the early mk4 models made 150hp but that was short lived lol
