just got the car running after 6 monthes of waiting on parts. put solid motormounts on it b/c old ones were shot and didn't feel like paying for the new ones. just wondering if the solid mounts will cause the knock sensor to go off. i put a different knock on it so i don't know if the sensors is bad or the mounts are doing it. also they are both rewired. so i don't think that is it. any help would be appreciated.

thanks danny.

well i fixed the problem, sort of, the wire was not making good contact on the sensor. the car is fine when i start it up no codes at all, but when i rev the enginge or drive it the code reappears(code 52). it comes on at about 2000-2500 rpm. i had the motor balanced at the engine shop so i don't think it is that. it does have a vibration on hard acceleration but it doesn't seem any worse than normal to me. could it be a bad sensor or is my motor just shaking that much to set it off?

I had solid mounts, i absolutly hated them worse frikin thing on the planet. they vibrated the crap outta my car they were anoying to drive daily. I couldnt go past 3k before it felt like my car was going to fall apart. I know this sounds stuipd but its a preference, ill keep riping up those stock ones before i ever think about putting the solid ones back in.

shaeff: thanks for the reply but what i ment was that the front knock sensor was not plugged in all the way. after i pushed the connector on all the way the code stopped untill the rpms reach about 2500-3000. i was ust wondering if that is a sine of a bad sensor.

z1turbo: i really don't know what you mean about the mounts. mine are just a little rougher than stock unless the car has a miss and then it is hell. i can barely feel it when i am cruising. the only time i really feel it is when i'm accelarating hard.
