I'm about the same high, and if I usually drive in the town in 4th, the arm is very comfortably resting on the shifter (and if it still is notchy or so with the bushings - new trans oil)

I'm not very far from it I must say...OneJoeZee said:so are you saying all you guys who have shortened shifter's are females?:biglaugh:

yup, i run the SOGI short shifter. because i like hack-jobbing stuff? nope. because i like running what WORKS.
i RACE my car. i used a c's and a cut down c's for a bit, too bad it caused me to frequently miss shifts. for my use, missed shifts are NOT acceptable. the SOGI short shift mod, as ghetto as it may be, hasn't caused any missed shifts yet. the real issue here is the age/design of our transmissions....
are the c's (and others) short shifters sweet for daily driving? you bet. just be prepared to be let down when you ask it to shift quickly....
chriso said:Anyone know the specs on this bushing and/or where to get them? I figured I would give it a try since my Sogi mod is very notchy.
I like the look of it but it isn't as easy as the stock longer shifter.
nvm on the truck bushing - search is your friend !
