The wiring information out there seems to be different from what I am running into. A little different on the MKIII side, but a lot different on the 1JZ side. Anyone got some detailed info. that would help?

Are you sure you have a soarer engine and harness? Rear sump?n All the ecu plugs there?

What year mk3?

Have you looked at the supras.nl website for the body plug info? iirc the link is how to wire a 2jz into a mk3. There is also a better pre89 one floating around but idk where it went.

As far as I know it is a soarer engine. It does have a rear sump. I will check out the site you mentioned. It is a 91 MKIII. Any way to confirm the engine type?

Well here's the scoop. It is a soarer engine. I am almost done with the wiring, but have one or two questions on the Soarer harness into a MA71 sticky. On the EBI connector, does the blue wire have to go all the way down to the AC? It seems to be using a heavier wire off the compressor. Also, on the B1 plug info, the there are two black wires off of the IK2. Which one do I use? The black/yellow on B1 is supposed to go to (F2). What's that? Finally, the Black/White wire on the same plug states it may have to go to the starter relay. I suppose the only way to know is to turn the key and see what it doesn't do.
By the way, thanks for all the information.

For teh a/c compressor, you just solder in the 7m compressor plug and plug it into the body harness connector, Should be 1 wire plug.

The black yellow for b1 goes for the water vsv for the heat on the firewall.

Thanks, I'll get that hooked up. Any idea about the fact that there are two black wires on the IK2 connector? I couldn't find a pinout so I could figure it out.

unfortunately the two black wires on IK2 have no continuity with each other. Dang. Haven't had much luck finding a pinout on the soarer stuff. also, I got a tach adapter, but the instructions don't cover this application. Any link to someone who hooked it up?

Did you read the whole "how to wire a soarer 1JZ into an MA70" sticky... or just the first page?

I posted a change to the wiring, because the OP had the starter solenoid, alternator and fuel pump wired wrong. I *think* my post was on page 10 of the thread (or somewhere around there). Make sure you read that, because if you wire it up like the first post your starter won't work all the time (and the wiring could catch on fire) and your charging system warning light will stay on all the time. The fuel pump wiring mistake wasn't as critical, they just had it wired weird.

You don't need a tach adapter. If you're putting this into a non-turbo car just buy a used turbo gauge cluster and the tach will work fine. It'll probably cost less than a tach adapter.

Also, if you look at the supras.nl page here: http://www.supras.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=34&Itemid=50 (I know it's an "attack site" but it's not really, I don't know why that's showing up)

It has 2JZ body plug info which has 99% of the same body plug wiring pinout info for the 1JZ soarer engine. This is what I used to decipher the correct wiring after I found out the info I got from the sticky wasn't all correct. Well, this and some time with a DVOM.

Thanks for the detailed wiring update. I will look up all the changes and see where I am at. Already have the tach adapter, but the instructions are not particularly useful in this instance. I have the tach wire isolated from the bundle, figuring I will have to splice in somewhere.

If it has trac and hydrofan then there are a handful of wires just for those 2 things as well.
