So i have a soarer 1jz w/ a cut harness, should i source out an uncut harness and ecu and wire it up, or just go stand alone, i see harness's and ecus going for about 500 (plus cost of prob having to replace capacitors) or should i just go for the standalone, if so what do you guys recommend, i read throught the whole stinger thread and it looks like everyone uses the PNP harness, has anyone wired the stinger directly to the harness, any help would be greatly appreciated, :1zhelp:

Since you live in Anaheim take some time out of your routine days stop by aarons place at DM and he can help you I think you should go for the high end version of the stinger made by AEM i think 880 instead of 440 ? not sure but get the high end ECU + Regular field harness instead of the JZA70 plug and play one and wire it into the pig tail where it was cut and save yourself some money.

It depends on where your harness was hacked at if before the ECU for sure I would go the stand alone route, if at the body connectors then extend those connectors with half a harness from the 7M engine.

I think the high end ECU from AEM (the big brother of the stinger) allows for all sequential and will let you get rid of waste spark or batch fire!

Yeah that what i was thinking but i went through the stinger thread and it seemed like everyone was using the PNP harness, and when i tried to find pics all i could find were pics of the standalone itself (just the computer),

btw my harness was cut before the ecu

i also looked on DM's website and their stinger pdf wasnt working for me, so yeah,

anyone else wire a standalone to the harness itself?
