Scam.

That's a 7M...in fact, it's a picture of Rajunz's engine bay (hell, I think it might actually be MY picture of his engine bay...)

If you look at the picture of the engine bay, it will be apparent to you that the settlers seems suspicious. since that engine in there is not a 2JZGTE. It's a 7MGTE. Please be careful.

Pretty atypical scam ad. Says it needs tailoring, new transmission and provides a phone number. Are these scammers finally starting to learn that perfectly clean, way underpriced specialty cars dont yield worthwhile results?!

It's gone. That same guy lists NSX's, FD's and Supras on autotrader all the time for exactly $4K too. Been doing it for years. I don't know how he's not in jail. Probably a group of guys working the same scam though.

Can't say I've come across any of those, but then again I don't really browse on there much. Very familiar with the $4k thing though, used to see ads on CL WY all the freaking time. Eventually just stopped flagging them because there were so many of them I couldn't keep up.

Oh, and to the OP, easiest way to tell between a 7m and 2j, if you can see the alternator in plain sight on the top right when looking at the engine, you've got yourself a 7m. ;)

Edit: I say we leave ads like this for a bit (or at least copy them onto here), and once we KNOW it is a scam (easy in most cases), I say we pester the shit out of the poster. :evil2:
