WE WOULD ALL SAY HOLY SHIT LOOK WHAT LAM DID NOW!!!!

No doubt about that. I miss that man's antics. he defiantly thought outside the box. Nobody knew what he would pull next.

Honestly... I too thought about the what if I could install the MkIV dash in my MkIII. Of course this was back when there wasn't this huge RIFT between the generations. Back when the full potential of the MkIV hadn't even been realized yet - the highest dyno #s at the time for street MkIVs was just over 400whp.

Technically it should be 100% possible and could likely look pretty good actually. There would likely be a LOT of custom bracket fabrication necessary to make this work. Of course, don't half-ass the job or it will look totally wrong. You may need to have custom door panels made to help the dash flow in with the rest of the car. Also, not sure how well the stock A-Pillars will flow with the new dash.

I celebrate your choice to go down this path and make your Supra unique. Don't listen to the haters.

Well thank you for all the responses so far guys. Im still looking into pricing, with the fact that I might not be able to get an MKIV interior dash for under $1000 right now, might take longer than I was expecting. Its not that I want more gauges, I just want something cleaner like I said. I think what Ill do is reupholster my seats and door panels, and teach myself some custom fabricating, like suggested in another reply on here I just read, I could maybe make a whole new supra dash for our cars, just trying to find out how to make the molds and where to get materials.

Something to check into:

That $50 speed-sensor's signal (hall-effect type, yes?) isn't compatible with the oem reed-switch's signal ... and will play hell with the tccs, tems & cruise computers.

... ask me how I know

I guess to each his own. If that is what you want to do, then do it. Personally I think there are better options to swapping in a whole new dash like changing the color of the bulbs and adding better reading gauges. But if you have the time and money to do it It will be very interesting. good luck with your project.

You have to be shitting me. That is one of the biggest drawbacks of the JZA80, its style.

The interior went "5.0" with cheap and lighweight plastic as way to reduce weight from our luxury GT.

I guess my idea of a Supra and ricers is something different.

Why cant MK3 owners just be happy with owning a MK3?????:icon_conf
Cause we don't want to be any thing like Porsche and BMW motorcycle owners who cry sacrilege and blasphemer because you repainted your car a non factory code color. Loved the story of Janice Joplin and her Porsche 356 http://www.officialjanis.com/porsche.html and who wants to be a prude anyway?:icon_conf

Ill restate what I said, I just like something unique. Im sure theres other interiors I like that are non toyota that would look cool, but nothing but Toyota sees my car, including this project.

Well, this guy has a fibger glass dash. That means he didn't really use a "real" Mk4 dash. My cousin owns a MK4 putting down 528whp, drove that thing and i wasn't really impressed with the wrap around dash. I did like how high the center part was. I like having the edge of the lowest part atleast higher than your seat cushion. Gives it a more sporty feeling.

I like the 2000 celica gts interior better then the mkiii or mkiv

The new Toyota interiors, especially those new Celicas are the worst on the market. You can get any ugly or cheaper looing. And the orange needs to go. In fact, that is why I like the MA70 so much, no cheap wannabe futuristic dashes that were brought out in the 80's.

Don't misunderstand me to much, you can like whatever you want.
