diesels fuckin own

my dad has an 07 dodge 2500, straight 6, 6.0L Cummins, thing is BEASTLY. 610 ft/lbs of torque stock, can push 1100 ft/lbs of torque with "the edge" controller or w/e, just gotta watch your egts.

A powerstroke or duramax runs 10,000 psi fuel pressure, a cummins runs 26,000 = finer spray = more power.

Not to meantion its a straight 6 = amazing internal engine balance. The intercooler is as big as his radiator. Its friggin insane. Redlines at 3200 rpm :)

Diesels are a great engine but can be costly. The best part of them is the idle. Ever hear a turbo diesel with no cats and flow through muffler? It sounds like a jet taking off. I have a 6.0 powerstroke at work that I will try to get some measurements off of to compare to the 7m. powerstrokes no longer have the 10kpsi fuel pressure. The new 6.4 has progressive fuel pressure to give it a very quiet idle form 5k- to 40k psi:aigo: . Dont forget about the 5k psi of oil pressure or it wont run.
