So i saw a clean supra yesterday..

It was at small dealership. Red 91 automatic turbo, bone stock. It looked like new paint.. the quality of which wasnt that great.. but it looked nice. 104k miles. I stopped in to see how much the guy wanted for it out of curiosity. He's like "oh, thats sold to a guy in Arizona for $9,800. I could have got more for it" I was just like okay.. what.. no you didnt.. why? I was just like ummm.. cooool maaan. This guy proceeded to tell me that this car was a rare vin number, and was made with one of the few, very rare, high compression turbo motors. I just kinda laughed because this poor misinformed guy was ripping off some poor misinformed ebayer. As far as I know there is no such thing as a special high compression 7mgte. He proceeded to tell me that he sold a jza80 98 twin turbo, 6 spd, black for 21,000. He was bragging. I told him that he could have gotten at least 35,000 for it. THEN he told me he used to have the "super rare" convertable MKIII, only "195 made". At this point i was like okay cool, I'll stop by when i see another one out there and we can talk some more...

WTF? What was the point of his non-sense rant.. either this guys an idiot or he knows a lot more about supras than me. I dont think he does, because I get the information from here, which gets its specs from Jeff Lange. Lol. I just thought I'd share, it really cracked me up. My girlfriend was with me, she was all like "you dont know, you dont know, there may be special supras you dont know about". Good times.

Yea, this guys definately crazy. He knows the difference between the targa and the convertable.. look at the link he has a pic of the car with the top off. I told him I'd stop by again when i saw one of those "195 convertables" out front.

... and maybe if he wants to sell me a MK4 TT for 21k. lol.

Sounds just like mine I bought last year. Except the paint is perfect. However, I paid half that price. So shop around.

I like the way he has it listed with Moonroof/Sunroof and Power seats not a power drivers seat.( I could be wrong but Im guessing the passanger seat is not power) were it me I would ask him to pass the crackpipe next time you stop cause he has gotta be HIGH. I wonder what he would give me for my limited White on white Package car it only has 122K miles on the body. and Leather Interior. I even still have the sticker on the door telling me to wait to turn the car off thats gotta be worth at least a grand more. :biglaugh: and yea that convertable and driver are off the hook!
