But probably the best reason to go LS1 swap... ::bhg::

Lol, suprised I'm the first to say that.

BHG's are from the owner, not the car!

I'd keep it Toyota if i were doing a V8 conversion for the simple fact that its probably easier and also, a Chevy Small block? Why not just buy a corvette in that case?

why would toy v8 be any easier than chevy? looks like you are still going to have to make mounts, plumb and wire it...

being the redneck i am, i'm not even going to be using lt/lsx setups,i'm using...gasp...oh dear...a carb!(i'll wait a minute, you young'uns will prolly need to go google and find out what a carb is).

think about it, only wires/hoses seen would be fuel, water, 12v to dist and choke, and a couple of vaccum lines for brakes and advance...mabe if i get really ambitious, some powersteering lines...

eh, as muc has i get what your saying, i disagree.

Go out an buy a supra with a stock headgasket, get it tuned and treat it well.

Theres a guy on here in long island, his supras over 200k miles on stock eadgasket with no re torque or anything!

I know what you mean though! ;)

as V8's go the 1UZ and 2UZ are pretty much shit for making power, unless you're a richer (I HATE RICHERS) then sure you can slap some turbos on and all that, but hey for 10k you can have an 850hp v8 on pump gas and 1100 on 100 octane, you know how its called a 366ci Twin Turbo banks GM crate motor. I saw this in a TA and a couple camaros, and beleive me it puts even 2JZ's to shame on the fun'o'meter. I live my 1jz, 2jz, and 7MGTE's but I gotta say sometimes a high power V8 is just plain fun.

England!
A 1UZ can make 400rwhp with a little bit of head work which I found pretty impressive for a motor that makes under than 200rwhp from stock.

Long blocks that can take 1000hp are only $6000 from lextreme which I don't see as such a bad price.

I really want a Chevy crate motor to swap into a supra... I wonder how much shipping would be to the UK? :D
