People were stupid. They should have made ONE thread for pictures ONLY and then another thread for comments and BS.
Personally, I don't see why the thread had to stay perfectly 'on topic', but the thread starter felt otherwise. So how does an 'off topic' thread stay 'on topic' anyway? It's all silly, so whatever happened happened. No point in trying it a third time. :nono:
It bothers me too and I can se why he got upset (maybe it's just because he's my bf *shrugs*)... Off-Topic simply means not on topic with the general topic of the forum (Supras). But each thread should stay on it's original topic. (gee did I use the word topic enough?)
At least that's how I see it. It can be really annoying to make a thread for a reason and have it go in some completely different direction. But then again, I've had to deal with much worse off-topic-post-whoring-people.... ask Looki, or Lanky, or Bella...

There's a distinct feeling of ownership for the threads that you create. When one goes off topic, you tend to be rather annoyed, and understandably so.
Personally, I think he just wanted it deleted because he's already decided that he has the cutest thing on the planet and doesn't feel like looking at everyone else's choices anymore.

No, that was not my reasoning.
Even after I specificaly said "noone cares about pictures of your car in a topic about GFs" and someone actualy went and did it; well, that was the time to put the bullet in the horses head.
I'm all for decent thread with GF pics. I'm not for a thread 20 pages long with only two pages of pics because a handful of people wanted to make it into their personal little AIM chat room.
Hell, keep my original one going. Just have a mod go in there are clean out all the bullshit.
